Top night had by all

What a top night that was. Im glad we all got to go out together.. the crew back in da house! :) Even though I sucked badly at bowling (Im not normally that bad.. I promise.. must have been that bottle of bourbon before going), it was a pearla... sorry John John for the old squirel grip... I just couldnt resist! ;)
Well lots of drinks...bourbon, beer, port, mead, vodka cruisers, sambucca, & midori (soz Samantha!) and two 5 minute dance sessions before the bloody pubs closed twas a top one. Cheers to my peeps who made it, look forward to the next one!

Beers at the Office

Few beers at the Office after work today and Ive come home in a blogging mood. It was good to catch up with the Eraser and Smatt.. pitty the other slackas couldnt make it ie Krisby et al...
Bugger all to mention today really except I did absolutley fuck all at work today, in fact this week has been a write off with having Monday off work, then Tuesday as a public holiday, Wednesday it took a while to get up to speed, then meetings on Thursday and today being casual day it wasnt just the clothes that were slack! :) If only every week was this lax.
Well Im just stoked its Friday, I dont think we are up to much this weekend, but we are kid free so hopefully we will get up to something fun. Anyway have a great weekend if I dont log in before Monday.... be good.. if you cant be good be careful.. if you cant be careful be bloody good at it! :) Oh and if you wake up next to this in the morning bite your own arm off...

Computers are good for...

As some of you might be aware, my current job is a desktop support ENGINEER! ;)... which is basically fixing peep's computer problems (a good percentage of the problems is user based however!). Anyway I also do this for friends and family and this along with Sin Dee and The Daz Man is slowly but steadily expanding as a viable business which I hope will eventually be my only job rather than this part time vision that we all have. Anyway as part of that we fix a lot of computers and one of the main things I get asked to do alot is sort out viruses and spyware type issues. Basically the conversation with someone I am fixing their computer goes something like this...

Me: So whats the problem
Them: Well my computer is running really slowly and the Internet keeps dropping out
Me: OK, lets have a look....
(5 minutes later)
Me: Well you do have quite a few nasties lurking on this thing, but Ill be able to clean it all I think.
Them: Thats wierd, I dont know where I got it from.
Me: Have you been to any lets say less than reputable sites lately?
Them: Ummmmm... no.. not at all.
Me: Well I can have a look here in your history and see when and where these things came from.
Them: (panic'd) You can see my history files, I thought I deleted them!
Me: No they are still here in these hidden folders, lets see.... well from 1am till 3:20am Saturday night it looks like there was a lot of traffic from www.bigblackmommas.com and www.shizeronmyface.com... looks like that might be the problem.
Them: (red-faced) Ummm I dont know how that got on there! :)

Top of the morning to ya!

Had a few laughs today, nothing major, but 'twasnt a bad day all round. To start with I got up late. I normally get up around 6:30-6:45 and have a shower, iron my shirt and get ready for work and then be out the door at 7:25 to get the train at 7:50. Today I got up at 7:35 ran around the house like a mad man and still managed to get on the 7:50 train. Meeting today was interesting... had a bit of a giggle when the question was asked what our boss does.. dont know where that came from! :)
Then I was almost going to get a kiss from Shaz today.. but things didnt turn out as I had hoped.. maybe next time! ;) The winger on the train kept to form and didnt stop winging and wining about fuck knows what. She is a sour puss who always has a problem with something and it is never her fault.. bullshit.

Anyway Im going to watch Lost with a big bowl of popcorn.. and leave you with this little pic.. ta ta for now.

Well hows things? Good thanks, and you? So things seem to be ok at work now (for the time being anyway) so thats a good thing. It all blew over today, thanks to the Dr having a chat with all concerned.

Not everything is good however, I lost Trevor! I knew today when the missus called and said there was a ad in the paper, but I didnt want to let him go. I know I only had him for a few days, but he had been sitting on my shoulder every night this week either watching TV, playing computer or having sex... well no not the last one... I made him get off and sit on the bedside table then! ;) Anyway the folk who owned him came and took him away. The girl was stoked and had been crying heaps.. blah blah blah.... the kids were upset, especially Muff, she was devo'd. It was a good lesson to learn all that crap about do unto others etc etc. Oh well Trev has gone, at least there Im not going to get my shoulder scratched to buggery anymore and there are no more grapes on the floor where the little prick dropped them all over the place!

Drama Queens

Why do people always need to have dramas, especially at work? I dont understand myself. I go to work, do what I have to and go home, at the end of the week I get paid. That is my view of work. Drama should be left to after hours to do with real life matters ie politics, sex and religion.. They causes dramas, but work, I dont think so.
Well things have been good at work lately with Dumb and Dumber gone, in fact that lifted the whole vibe of the place up heaps. I was stoked mostly becuase I thought that would be the end of the problems for my friends and colleagues in general. Well we are getting there, but there are still a number of people that still seem to be the cause of issues. Like today for example, a simple thing like us all having lunch together turned into Work War III! FFS, just call us on the phone and 9 times out of 10 we will be there to sort it out in 5 minutes, dont get tetchy just because you have to deal with a problem on your own cos there is no one there to back you up. Simple solution tell the person you will get someone to call them back and hang up, dont get shitty and then take it out on others!
The Dr could have eased matters by not saying what he did in they way he did, because certain people ALWAYS take things the wrong way.. and to heart!
Thats what caused the blue today and for some fucked up reason I have to sit there and listen to it all and Im expected to somehow fix it? Fuck that! The Dr can go on hollies and come back next week and if they still have a problem then well hopefully it will have blown over by then, but if not Im sure it will get sorted somehow. The problem is we have the do somewhere in the middle there.. are we wanted? or do we even want to go? We shall see. Ill keep you posted!
